Welcome to the Louisiana Tactical Police Officers Association!  We appreciate your interest in our organization.

The LTPOA was founded in 1997 by 7 or 8 like-minded police officers and deputy sheriffs that wanted to come together to promote the professionalism of SWAT teams around the state.  Taking the lead from the National Tactical Officers Association and modeled after the Texas Tactical Police Officers Association, these officers forged the way for what we call the LTPOA today.
